Mecca Bingo is proud to announce its support of The Royal British Legion with the launch of the Poppy Power bingo game. You can play the Poppy Power bingo game from Wednesday 8th August until Sunday 11th November 2018
Mecca Bingo has teamed up with The Royal British Legion to show support for the Armed Forces community, both past and present, by launching a new charity bingo game. Our new partnership launches as the Legion marks 100 years since the end of the First World War.
Mecca Bingo has created a new Poppy Power bingo game, with 5p from each £1 game card being donated to The Royal British Legion. Mecca Telford visited The Battle Back Centre (See image above) to give veterans and staff a taste of the Poppy Power bingo experience, which aims to encourage bingo fans to raise £100,000 over the next 100 days.
Chris Joynson, Operations Manager for The Royal British Legion's Battle Back Centre said: “It was fantastic to have the Mecca Bingo team visit the Battle Back Centre last week. The staff and service personnel all thoroughly enjoyed playing the new Poppy Power game and would like to thank Mecca for an evening of great entertainment.
“The money raised by Mecca Bingo will help us provide adaptive sports and adventure opportunities for wounded, injured and sick Service personnel and veterans to help with their recovery.”
Craig O’Neil, General Manager at Mecca Telford, said: “We were honoured to be invited to The Battle Back Centre for a game of bingo to help launch our fundraising campaign for The Royal British Legion in this centenary year.
“The new Poppy Power game will be live in club for 100 days, helping to raise vital funds and awareness for the Legion.
“Between team members and customers, we’re confident we will hit our £100k fundraising target.”
