Heart of the Country

Heart of the Country was founded by husband and wife Simon and Lesley Stubbs in 1989, and is now run by their two sons Ben and Toby. Located in the heart of rural Staffordshire on a converted farm, they now distribute world-leading fragrance brands across the UK.

The brothers' great grandparents fought in the First World War, and feel personally connected to the 2018 Centenary Remembrance. They therefore decided to partner with us and hope to raise £36,500 through sales of their Painted Poppy Scent Sachet. One pound will be donated from the sale of each sachet, with each pound representing a single day that has passed since the end of the First World War on the 11th November 1918.

The Painted Poppy Scent Sachet will retail at £3, and can be bought from 1000 gift and garden stores across the UK. Be sure to call ahead to avoid disappointment!

Visit the Heart of the Country website for trade enquiries, or purchase the product online.

"This year will be the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War, so many of us including Toby and I have great grandparents and great uncles who fought, died or survived and families that gave everything in the Great War, we owe them everything we have today and they should never be forgotten. We couldn't be more proud as a company to be working with The Royal British Legion during this very special year". Ben Stubbs, Director, Heart of the Country

£1 from the sale of each sachet will be paid to The Royal British Legion Trading Limited which gives its taxable profits to The Royal British Legion (charity no.219279 and Poppyscotland (Scottish charity no. SC014096).
