Emma Bridgewater is proud to announce its support of The Royal British Legion with the release of the Poppy ½ Pint Mug. Each mug is handmade in the Emma Bridgewater factory in Stoke-On-Trent.
The mug will be available from Wednesday 8th August 2018 priced at £19.95 at Emma Bridgewater shops, and emmabridgewater.co.uk.
For every mug sold Emma Bridgewater will donate £5 to The Royal British Legion. Money raised will help the charity to continue to provide lifelong support for the Armed Forces community - serving men and women, veterans, and their families. 2018 marks 100 years since the end of the First World War; The Royal British Legion is leading a national movement to say ‘Thank You’ to the entire generation who lived through the war, served, sacrificed and changed our world.
Emma Bridgewater explains: “We are immensely proud to produce a special Poppy design for The Royal British Legion. The design is inspired by an archive pattern, and remains a personal favourite. The mugs are decorated by hand in the factory in Stoke in Trent. From the sale of each mug we will make a £5 contribution to help with the Legion’s vital work caring for injured servicemen. We are so pleased and proud to have this opportunity to show our deep appreciation for our armed services.”
Head of Corporate Partnerships at the Royal British Legion, Ben France states: “We’re delighted Emma Bridgewater has decided to release this special edition Poppy mug. The funds raised from the sale of the mug will ensure we can continue our vital work in providing life-long support to the Armed Forces Community. This year is particularly important to us as we mark the end of the First World War and lead a national movement to say thank you to the entire generation who lived through the war, served, sacrificed and changed our world. We are so grateful for every moment of support.”
